Katherine George BSc (Hons), BDS, MBBS, MFDS RCS, FRCS(OMFS)Eng.

 

Katherine is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon appointed to Kings College Hospital, one of the leading teaching hospitals and major trauma centres in London and she specialises in conditions of the face, head and neck.  She is qualified in both dentistry and medicine achieving distinction when she graduated from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital Medical School. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has won many prestigious awards and prizes for both academic and clinical excellence throughout her career.  She has advanced training in facial aesthetics and facial plastic surgery, having completed a fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in London. She is one of a few surgeons in the UK trained in minimally invasive salivary gland surgery. She set up the minimally invasive salivary gland service at Kings College Hospital in 2016, having previously been part of the salivary gland team at Guys & St Thomas' Hospitals for 4 years. 

 

Katherine was the first lead for the Salivary Gland Surgery Specialist Interest Group (SSIG) for the British Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the National association for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in the UK. 

 

Her specialist interests include minimally invasive salivary gland surgery; facial aesthetics and cosmetic surgery, tooth extraction, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma and temporomandibular joint dysfunction as well as oral and facial lumps and bumps.
